The "robust" workflow between XF300/XF305 and FCP X is currently broken. If you are at this event please report what they say about this. Thanks.

I think the workflow remains; Final Cut Pro 7, or Adobe Premiere.

I'm pretty sure that Canon will fix things for Final Cut Pro X in the next couple of months; Apple and Canon seem to have had a close relationship over the last few years, and I hope that still continues.

But Canon isn't always sprightly in updating software.

Also, I wonder if companies will wait until Lion is out before releasing any software updates this month.
