I'm harboring doubts about this. The "breaking news" comes from Down Under and well before the March 23 announcement. The Canon FS100 is a widely used consumer SD camcorder and I doubt Sony would care to appropriate that niche. If Cinescopophilia/@visionwrangler made this up or failed to verify the source, it doesn't bode well for their/his/her reputation.
